If you’re wanting to give your wellbeing a boost or need some help to get through a difficult time, Ignite Aotearoa’s support providers are here for you.

We have a variety of practitioners on our platform who you can book to see using your subscription tokens. They offer services ranging from talk therapy and counselling, through to career development or support through a redundancy, to financial advice and meditation or yoga training.

Choosing a provider

Each of our support providers has a biography on their page, so you can learn more about them and how they work, before you decide who you would like to book a session with. You can also search for providers based on the criteria that is important to you.

Booking an appointment with an Ignite support provider does not mean you need to have all your sessions with that one person. If you’d like to book follow up sessions, that’s great! However, if you want to try an appointment with a different provider, that’s fine too. Ignite gives you the choice and flexibility to decide what’s right for you.

Each provider has listed their areas of expertise in their profiles. You will notice that some practitioners have the same specialities, and we believe this offers you greater choice.

We have included some brief descriptions below of the professional groups represented on our platform. Just as each person is unique, so is each of our providers. The most important things when choosing a provider are that you feel comfortable with the person, that they listen to you, that you feel respected, and that their support is useful for you.

Talk therapists

It can be helpful to talk about our challenges with someone who is trained to provide support from a professional perspective. Practitioners with a range of experience provide talk therapy on the Ignite platform, which people may refer to as counselling or therapy. There are a number of tools and techniques that talk therapists use during their work with you. A number of the following professional groups offer talk therapy and you will see when you look at their profiles that a number of different types of therapist have training in the same treatment modalities.
